This is my alternate LJ primarily devoted to my hobby of sign-collecting (I have another one running around somewhere here that deals with the daily humdrum, when i get around to it...more often blogging in the hobby journal is more fun!)

I have a collection of highway signs representing over 45 states so far as well as the District of Columbia...I am hoping to snag state-named Interstate, US and State route signs from all 51 before i am done!

When i am not collecting signs, i work days in a large residential facility for profoundly mentally-retarded adults, and nights i work as a strolling troubadour....no, i actually work in a small supported living home with four guys who are far higher functioning...i also dabble in model railroading when time allows, Japanese animation, and some other things that catch my attention.

While I consider myself a conservative, my politics lean toward the more pragmatic 'whoever can best do the job regardless of party label or affiliation'...one of those many centrists dismayed by the Jackass Party's captivity by the loony left, and the Dumbo Party's ensnarement by the radical right......
